As a Technical Data Architect in the Data Engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing our data platform architecture. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the data engineering strategy, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our data systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MLOps platforms, observability platforms, data quality checks, Spark, structured streaming, change data capture (CDC), and data governance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a scalable, reliable, and efficient data platform architecture, ensuring optimal performance and high availability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to define and execute the data engineering roadmap.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and data governance principles.
- Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and visualization, leveraging modern technologies and frameworks.
- Design and develop MLOps platforms to enable seamless integration of machine learning models into production systems.
- Implement robust observability platforms to monitor, measure, and optimize the performance and reliability of data pipelines and services.
- Define and enforce data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain data governance practices, including data lineage, metadata management, and compliance with data regulations.
- Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the data engineering capabilities and drive innovation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data engineering and MLOps, and share knowledge with the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) as a Technical Architect or similar role, with a focus on data engineering and MLOps.
- Strong expertise in data engineering technologies, including Spark, structured streaming, and change data capture (CDC).
- Extensive experience with MLOps platforms, ensuring the seamless integration and deployment of machine learning models.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing observability platforms, including monitoring, logging, and tracing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data quality checks, validation processes, and data governance principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS ) and their data services.
- Hands-on experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
