Software Development Engineer II- SQL

As our Software Development Engineer II- SQL, you will develop SQL queries and procedures, and create custom reports. You will also be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Designing database tables and structures.
• Creating views, functions and stored procedures.
• Writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications.
• Creating database triggers for use in automation.
• Maintaining data quality and overseeing database security.
• Develop high-quality database solutions.
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
• Research required data.
• Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.
• Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Migrating legacy code to Data Lake (AWS, Spark, Scala/Python, Athena/Snowflake)

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree.
• Proven 4-8 years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
• Excellent understanding of SQL programming.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Familiarity with the practical application of NoSQL\NewSQL databases.
• Critical thinker and a team player.
• Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in Apache Spark, Python/Scala, Cloud Services (AWS/Azure), Apache Airflow. (Optional)
