As our Staff/Principal Engineer - Salesforce, you will help design and deliver solutions using Salesforce products. The primary responsibility is to recommend the best solution for a given set of requirements and articulate the trade-offs involved in choosing one solution over another. It’s your responsibility to choose the solution that will hold up over time, that will scale as the number of users increases, and won’t acquire lots of technical debt or require manual changes as time goes on. You will be a role model to your team.
Responsibilities
- Must have broad and deep technical knowledge but they also need to possess listening, communication, and presentation soft skills.
- Must know when to code and also when not to code, having expertise in declarative side of the platform.
- In the position of the technical team leader, help educate the team with technical best practices.
- Build proofs-of-concept (POCs) that teams can further iterate on.
- Design the strategy and data model for a Salesforce implementation.
- Put technical solutions in place for identity and access, implement data and process integrations, and design solutions that account for large data volumes and data privacy needs.
Requirements
- BE/B. Tech. in Computer Science, or an MCA from a reputed university.
- 11+ years of experience in the salesforce platform with at least 2+ years of LWC Components development.
- A solid understanding of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, multitiered infrastructure, integration patterns, and application servers.
- Experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies such as CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services.
- Experience with cross-cloud Salesforce (SFDC) implementations integrated with other cloud and on-premise systems.
- Awareness of platform-specific design considerations such as large data volumes, allocation limits, and data migration.
- Knowledge of software design principles.
- Mentor and guide team members on everything from structured problem solving to development of best practices.
- Contribute to the development of project estimates, scheduling, and deliverables
- Knowledge of following areas in salesforce is needed - Apex, Visualforce, LWC, Case Management, Service Console, Knowledge Management, REST, SFDX.
- Operational Excellence - monitoring & operation of production services.
