As our Lead SDET, you will be someone with solid experience in functional and automation skills who likes challenges - someone who is constantly striving for excellence in software test automation and tool development. Core to our culture, you will work in small, fast-paced teams in a challenging, data-driven environment where everyone owns a significant part of the game and contributes technically and creatively. Working directly with our QE Managers, you will ensure perfect game experiences for millions of players of our games.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Requirement Analysis. Identify focus areas during testing and QC, and communicate these clearly to product owners and senior management.
- Understand and Analyze the Functional & Regression scope of Product Development items. Assign resources to various projects so that their utilisation is maximised.
- Good at strategising automation approaches and driving execution plans based on project needs.
- For any new type of feature or technology, able to make progress without any guidance on both fronts.
- Come up with technology suggestions and implementation ( Tools, Process & Framework improvements) to enable continuous improvement in test coverage and efficiency.
- Coordinate & collaborate across teams for complete feature deliverables.
- Explore, Implementation & use code coverage tools.
- Responsiveness: Availability to work on critical issues in any area during stress.
- Curiosity & appetite to learn: Candidates should have thoroughly understood the overall system. Participate in reviews and always discuss the efficient approaches to evaluate existing processes or tech stacks to keep them current.
- Mentoring: Demonstrated an ability to mentor junior team members, and lead thought-provoking technical conversations, be it about the current tech stack or new emerging technologies.
- Good to have: Performance/Load testing and App Security testing experience
Requirements
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in Application Testing in an Agile-based Delivery team, and software test development, including creating/maintaining test automation scripts and frameworks from scratch.
- Experience in leading Test Teams with both Functional and Automation Testing expertise in the fast-paced delivery environment
- Exposure to best practices in SQA and software development, including reviews, debugging, troubleshooting and CI processes
- Good understanding and experience in Code Branching Strategy, Test Environment Management, Version Management, and Continuous Testing Process
- Experience in front-end (Mobile App & Web) & API Testing and automation, preferably using tools like Selenium/Appium/Rest Assured with a framework like TestNG/Cucumber.
- Bachelor’s degree or better in CS or related field,
- Knowledge of Platform and Microservice Testing, including but not limited to RESTful web service testing.
- Strong in Core Java fundamentals and Object Oriented Programming concepts
- Excellent communications and technical presentation skills
- Initiative to research and build solutions to challenging problems in domains like Flash, OpenGL, and WebGL where off-the-shelf automation tools might not be available
- Some experience/comfort with working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Non-Technical Skills
- Must be a good communicator in oral and written modes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The applicant will be required to demonstrate the ability to break down a complex problem into a set of simpler ones.
- The applicant must display superior ownership levels and the ability to think out of their own or their team’s area of responsibility.
- The applicant must have a history of taking up more challenging assignments. They should be able to demonstrate their contribution to the quality of the products they were responsible for.
- Knowledge of the Gaming domain and products is desirable.
- Knowledge of Performance and Security Testing is desirable.
