Associate Director - Marketing Acquisition

As our SM/ AD - Acquisition, you will work directly with the Director, Marketing - Acquisition and own complete responsibility for acquiring new users and leads through new sources of traffic (Digital Performance Marketing Channels/ Organic/ Referral Program/ Retargeting) and optimize the sources of traffic to drive the strongest value for acquisition on the web and mobile. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing strategies, digital marketing, data analysis, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop, execute, and oversee marketing acquisition strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Customer Research: Conduct market research and customer analysis to identify target audiences, their needs, and preferences.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing efforts, including paid advertising (PPC), working with SEO/ ASO teams to drive higher organic share, drive the referral program to get more users through this channel.
  • Retargeting: Leverage the existing install/ registered base to get more users at higher cost efficiencies, through digital marketing and internal CRM channels.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to track and measure the performance of marketing campaigns, making data-driven decisions for optimization. Analyse creative performance and come up with new creative options working with the brand team.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing acquisition budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various channels.
  • Conversion Optimization: Continuously improve the conversion rates of marketing channels and website landing pages to maximize ROI.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as brand/ content/ design/ engg/ product, to get the marketing requirements delivered.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports (daily, weekly and monthly KPIs against targets) and presentations on the performance of marketing acquisition efforts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Planning: Work on the forecasting of target assumptions during quarterly and annual budget and forecast periods, liaising with Finance/ BI teams. Identify data trends and insights and optimize spends and performance based on the insights.
  • Testing: Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests. Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Educational background from a tier-1 institute is an added plus.
  • Proven experience (5-6 years) in marketing and customer acquisition in B2C mobile app acquisition marketing, with a track record of successful campaigns. RMG experience would be an added plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analytics tools, especially MS-Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of various digital marketing channels and strategies. Should be well versed with Google and FB Ads dashboard, campaign targeting, etc
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a high level of ownership who’s really hands-on.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM software.
  • Good with stakeholder management : can get the work done with the cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, high bias for action, and should be agile who can drive rigor in all our initiatives.
  • Creative bent of mind to work closely with design/ content/ brand teams.
