Manager- Data Science

As a Manager- Data Science, you'll lead a team of Data Scientists and develop complex data science models to tackle critical product and business challenges. Working with product teams you will implement data science models that integrate into live production systems. As a SME in our organization, you’ll level-up our data science infrastructure and tools, by contributing directly to our Data Intelligence vision and associated Engineering stack.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of data scientists, identify opportunities and develop data science strategies.
• Identifying and translating business problems to data science problems.
• Selecting features, building and optimizing machine learning algorithms that impact the business.
• End to end model deployment working closely with engineering and product team.
• Setting up model performance monitoring and creating alerts for any data leakage, data drift etc
• Drive best practices on the team; mentor and guide junior members to achieve their career growth potential
• Communicate proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data to drive business decisions
• Collaborate with colleagues from multidisciplinary science, engineering and business backgrounds

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Data Science with at least 1 year of experience in managing a team.
• Experience in NLP, Ensemble methods, Ranking Algorithms, and Deep Learning algorithms.
• Excellent coding skills in Python.
• Experience in deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
• Experience in training ML models with frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch etc. is a plus.
• Basic understanding of AWS is a plus.
• Data-oriented personality and scientific temperament that seeks to rigorously validate hypotheses/ ideas.
• Great communication skills.
